Sam got to open his "Big Present" last night. He absolutely LOVES his new OLPC XO. He's even named it "Mr. Laptop"! :)
We spent most of the day with his new computer and my macbook pro, installing software, exploring the computer, and working around a few snags. I've probably got at least a half dozen posts to make on todays experiments alone.
The following is a video of Sam opening it up. This was only the beginning of the excitement.
Shortly before shooting this video, we had explained that this was a special present and that another kid had gotten this same present as well. This is all a part of the Give One Get One program going on until the end of the year.
